The United Benefice of Sharnbrook, Felmersham and Knotting with Souldrop
Christian Meditation Group The method of meditation known as Christian Meditation was practised by the first Christian monks and was revived for modern Christians by the Benedictine monk John Main. Here is a quotation from John Main summarising its purpose: “The important aim in Christian Meditation is to allow God’s mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality but the reality which gives meaning, shape and purpose to everything we do, everything we are”. Sharnbrook Christian Meditation Group Sharnbrook Christian Meditation group meets every week and the format is simple - we listen to an audio talk, sit in silent meditation for a period, and then finish with a prayer. The group is open to all - Christians of any denomination and non-Christians alike. The group meets every Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) at 10.00am in St Peter’s Room, at St Peter’s Church, Sharnbrook.
